“Once truth is revealed, and we accept the reality that has been stripped of its facade, we are motivated to rethink our priorities and to start to purge our systems of excesses and corruption.
“On a personal level, this Jupiter-Pluto aspect can be a catalyst for empowerment, inspiring us to embrace our passions and pursue a life of deeper meaning… “But with Uranus in Aries closely square the New Moon, our goals cannot be echoes of the past, or merely revamped versions of previously-held ambitions. “Instead, Uranus challenges us to rebel against old definitions of who we are and to reimagine what we are capable of. “This imperative is increased due to Uranus’ alignment with dwarf planet Eris and asteroid Pallas Athene — both of which were named for strong, independent, creative, intelligent feminine goddesses. “These influences dare us to walk the road less traveled, and to set goals that reflect our unique and very individualized perspective.” excerpt taken from astrologer pam younghans of mystic mamma .com
Desert treasures pictured here from several different visionaries, medicine makers, and artists.
Herbal Roots' Ocotillo, latin name Foquieria splendors, is pictured here and is one of my all time favorite magical, desert plants. I was fortunate enough to spend many hours with her and chaparral, another favorite, when I had a flat tire on an herbal wildcrafting outing with my teacher and class. Myself and three other women got to sit, breathe, and stretch with these two marvelous plants for quite awhile as I was waiting on Triple A. The long meeting with these two plants in particular was like a reunion of old friendships that had gone many years without seeing each other, yet the familiarity was there and the flow was easy. Ocotillo is known as a pelvic mover for both men and women, specifically moving stagnation, blood, and lymph in the pelvic regions. Ocotillo bark extracts are used for therapeutic treatment of pelvic diseases and to improve systemic circulation. Ocotillo Flower Essence is for the Wounded Healer & the Healer that wounds. This concept is related to the planet Chiron on the outskirts of our solar system. Every 50 years, Chiron revolves back around into our astrology charts and can be similar to the Saturn return we experience in our early 30's. Ocotillo is also a mighty protector with it's spiny branches and will help one to respond rather than react. |
